Introducing: ME!

Published by courtneybh at 4:44 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

I believe introductions are necessary for the first posting. Here is a bit about who I am:

I am thirty and I am a wife, a mommy to my sons “J” and baby “B”, a “SAHM” (Stay At Home Mom), a chauffeur, a cook, a maid, a teacher, an artist, a personal assistant, a playmate, a hairdresser, a bank, a CFO, a child-trainer, a plumber, and a toy repairman – basically, a Jack of all trades! To sum it up, I am like all modern mothers today! I commence the day with a dose of Java; live the day with noise, music, crayons, markers, games, park play dates, tears and laughter; and finish the evenings with dried food stains, messy hair, bath suds, smeared mascara, a mountain of toys in the living room, and an exhausted yet fulfilled smile. Each night I thank the lucky stars and my wonderful husband that I am blessed with the opportunity to watch my boys as they grow into the most interesting and beautiful characters I have ever met – my life is precisely what I have always hoped for.

Yet, life is notorious for throwing a curveball occasionally, a daily cup of surprises. On April Fools Day of this year, consider that a gross prank, my husbands company announced that they would be slashing salaries, and quite drastically. While I have been fortunate to be a stay at home mom for three years since my first son was born, I feel I need to step up to the plate financially - whilst staying home and raising my babies into smart and happy little boys. Blogging fits into my daily life like my favorite pair of flip-flops. I currently maintain a personal blog about my family for all our distant family and friends. Second to a cup of coffee in the morning, blogging has become my addiction. SO - my blog will be about family, children, living life on a REAL budget, spending quality time with children (every day and holiday activities and crafts), and relationships. I feel like I have so much in common today with the everyday mommy, that I could really connect with my viewers.

And this is where my blogging-life officially begins.
